ERASMUS+ Students Explore International Diplomacy and Austrian Democracy
As part of the International Course Programme at Pädagogische Hochschule Salzburg, ERASMUS+ students recently had the opportunity to take part in an exciting educational excursion to Vienna. The trip combined political education, international perspectives, and intercultural exchange, offering participants valuable insights into Austria’s role in global cooperation and democratic processes.
One of the highlights of the excursion was the visit to the Vienna International Centre, also known as UNO City. Students learned about the work of international organizations based in Vienna, including the United Nations, and gained a deeper understanding of current global challenges and international collaboration. Guided tours and discussions provided fascinating insights into diplomacy, sustainability, and human rights.
The group also visited the historic Austrian Parliament Building, where students explored the heart of Austrian democracy. During the visit, they discovered more about the legislative process, political participation, and the importance of democratic values in Europe.
The excursion offered not only academic learning opportunities but also the chance for intercultural networking and shared experiences among students from different countries. Such activities are an essential part of the International Course Programme, promoting openness, dialogue, and European cooperation through ERASMUS+.
